The AC needed fixed, which the dealer is doing. But deposit made. Flying up to NJ on Saturday and road tripping back that day.

I became interested in the C5 Z06 after Wheeler Dealers did one, though that clutch replacement scared me a bit.

Just go either below 80 or not more than 20 over and you will be fine. And remember, of the speed limit is 70, you still need to stay below 80 or it's reckless driving. I have driven in Virginia since 1990 and have never gotten a speeding ticket in this state. I think Maryland is worse.

I was under the impression it was 60-65, but you live there so I guess it does go that high. That is a little better.

I am from Eastern PA but lived in Eastern NC for 5 years. I've made that drive a lot of times. Be prepared for tolls. If you aren't in a rush consider the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. It's neat basically driving across the ocean for 13 miles and there is a pier you can stop at as long as you don't miss the turn (it comes up quick).

That’s a good route that I’ve taken a few times. The bad part is that you feel like you’re in PA forever (2ish hours) and it feels like you aren’t making much progress, plus it’s a boring drive. But then you go from PA-MD-WV-VA in about 40 minutes. 81 parallels Skyline drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway, both very scenic roads but a lot slower.

About 10-15 minutes after you cross into PA, you go up over South Mountain and down into the Lehigh Valley. The main city you'll see is Allentown. My house is maybe 2 miles from the Interstate.

Last summer we drove from Allentown to near Indianapolis for a wedding on a farm. Just when you think it can’t get more boring, it does.

Just remember to get gas in NJ because it’s cheaper than PA. So is WV/VA. But if you stop in NJ they have to pump the gas for you.

Are you doing the whole drive in one day? It can certainly be done.

I plan on it. I’ve done 16 hours in a day, and regularly do 4-6 hours a day for work(in a work truck).

L ots of VA is 70, but do not go above 80 or you will get arrested.

74 is a good speed, I might actually go a little closer to 70 in a noticeable vehicle .

I’ve found speed limits in VA are generally set high , but they don’t give you as much free play above the limit.

concur, the speed limits in VA are actually set pretty high in general and you are way more likely to get caught speeding in Maryland.

The 80MPH thing is a bit greasy though.
